Aerial Archaeology

On the 20th of October 2018 I joined the Aerial Photographic Archive for Archaeology in the Middle East (APAAME for short) on a flight to photograph prehistorical remains in Jordan’s southeastern desert ( along the border with Saudi Arabia.

You’ll be able to spot walls and other circular patterns in the desert floor, these are the remains of buildings and pens constructed over the period of millennia, of course the desert was much more human friendly back then with all manner of wildlife roaming the plains.
